General Class FAQs

  • Registrations are non-refundable. Cancellation notice must be received by email 48 hours prior to the start time of your event to receive kitchen credit. Kitchen credits expire 6 months from the date of your request. No refunds or kitchen credits will be issued when fewer than 48 hours notice is provided. The Flavor Labs is unable to make exceptions to this policy for scheduling conflicts, last-minute illnesses or no shows. If you cannot attend your event for any reason, you are always welcome to send a friend in your place, and we hope that you do!

  • If the roads are too dangerous for driving, we will cancel class and notify parents via email as soon as we've made the determination. Single drop-in class students will be given kitchen credit for rescheduling. Semester classes will be given a make up date at the end of the semester. Parties that need to be cancelled due to weather will be rescheduled at an agreed upon date.

  • We love organizing fun classes for groups. We work with you to create a 60 or 90 minute class. We require a minimum of 10 participants for private sessions.  Please email us to get the ball rolling.

  • Yes! We can absolutely put together a semester class for a group with a minimum of 8 participants. Private semester sessions only take place during the weeks of our existing semester offerings. Please email us to set that up or for more information.

  • We love partnering with local organizations for fundraisers! We offer bake at home kits and 20% of the proceeds are shared with your group/school. Here is the link for more information.

  • For camp & semester sessions that are not fully booked, we will open up any remaining seats for single day drop-ins just prior to a given session starting.

  • Our classes are age appropriate and based on our experience with the ability and attention span of children.  We would never want to frustrate a child because a skill is either too advanced or too simple. That said, we have some flexibility. Please email us your concerns.

  • We do! Gift cards are a great way to purchase a cooking experience for a friend. Here is the link.

  • We do! We love being part of this vibrant community and we love giving back. Non-profit groups should email us directly with your requests.

  • No problem! The Flavor Labs is nut free. With advanced notice, we can work around egg, gluten and dairy allergies as well. For severe allergies, please contact the studio in advance so we can ensure your child’s safety.

  • Please let us know as soon as possible if your child will be missing class. Due to seating availability, we do not offer make up classes, credits or refunds. If your child has a friend who would like to attend in their place, we can accommodate that request with advanced notice.

  • We maintain a waitlist when classes fill. It is first come, first serve and we make every effort to accommodate as many as we can.

Party FAQs

  • Here is a link we need a parent/guardian to sign before the party.

  • Our parties are drop-off only. We ask that only the parents/guardians of the birthday child join us for the festivities. There’s a coffee shop next door and many other options for waiting for those unfamiliar with the area.

  • No problem! The Flavor Labs nut free. With advanced notice, we can work around egg, gluten and dairy allergies as well.  For severe allergies, please contact the studio in advance so we can ensure your child’s safety.

  • We pride ourselves on our mission of sustainability for our planet.  Balloons are anything but environmentally friendly, so we set up our space with “permanent” balloons and other festive decorations. We make our space party ready, so there's no need to bring anything.

  • We're a cooking school! We'd never forget sweets eating, candles and singing! Our parties include dessert as part of the activity with the sweets we make. We do not allow outside food of any kind.

  • Leave the food and festivities to us! The kids will eat their creations and drink spring water while they are partying. We do not allow outside food of any kind.

  • Our party and staffing calendar is set well in advance of events. Moving dates causes disruption to our staff’s livelihood and hurts us as a small business. Party deposits are non-refundable. In the event you need to change your event date, we require 2-weeks minimum notice to roll your deposit into a new date. Credit will only be issued to use toward a new party booking. No credits will be issued with less than 2-weeks notice.
