  • Our mission is to change the way children engage with food.

    Studies have shown that hands-on cooking programs help children become more adventurous eaters.  There are many other benefits to playing an active role in the kitchen, and at The Flavor Labs children will have the opportunity to:

    • enhance their science and math skills

    • learn to make good food choices

    • build self-confidence

    • develop fine-motor control

    STEM, food education and sustainability are core to our curriculum, and nurture an appreciation for food and the science behind it.

    Experimenting with flavors and ingredients will foster creativity and encourage children to think “outside the bowl”.

  • We offer a wide variety of cooking and baking classes for children and their families.

    Starting with little ones, “Me and My Grown-up” classes introduce children ages 2-5 to the kitchen, giving them access to new foods, tools and equipment in a safe and friendly environment.  Children create recipes from start to finish in each session.  

    For children ages 6+, weekly semester classes are available after school in the Fall, Winter and Spring.  These classes provide the opportunity for children to spend 8-10 weeks cooking and baking new recipes. For those who don’t want to commit to a full semester, we offers single drop-in classes where students of any age can join a class and whip up a batch of something yummy – from donuts to dumplings. 

    We also offer summer camp and school break camps to help keep children engaged in productive activities while school is out.

  • Let us help you throw the yummiest birthday party!

    Children love to celebrate and express their creativity in our kitchen with their friends in an intimidation-free space. We offer parties for children ages 4+, with the “Mini Chef” offering being the most popular. Guests spend 90 minutes making a dessert from scratch as well as their own personal pizza. 

    For older children, a friendly competition like “Cupcake Wars” or “Nailed It” is a popular party theme, especially for teenagers.   

    The Flavor Labs is a full-service party venue, offering hands-on activities, food and (optional) favors for attendees.  Parents can simply show up for their children’s party and know that everything will be taken care of for them. 

    Our parties, except for Me & My Grownup, are drop-off only (except for the birthday parents, of course!)

With Flavor Labs, the lessons are laid out in a way that is fun and keeps her interest. She is so proud when she comes home with delicious treats for us to try and we are so proud of her. She is a very picky eater and has tried things that I never thought she would! Everything she has made is truly that yummy!
